Other Ministries of First Church
Fall is falling. It is almost here. Soon the weather will be cooler.
Children are back in school. People are back in town and back to
church.
Fall is a busy time for us: pumpkins, Bar-B-Q, Charge Conference,
lots of meetings, budgeting, etc.
Fall means football and many of us are glad about that. I always
enjoy fall - not as hot, not yet cold. I think most of all Fall
seems like a time “to begin again” - a time of new opportunities.
I encourage you to see this time as a time to seize new opportunities
- to draw closer to God, to become more involved in our church,
to reach out to others, to pray, and seek God’s direction for your
life.
Welcome our college students back, encourage our children in school,
get into a small group or start one, come to our Family night supper,
help a neighbor, do something new.
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity
under the heavens.” (Ecclesiastes 3:1)
This is a good time and a good season to let God lead you into new
experiences, new ministries, new joy.
God bless you,
Pat
The Pumpkins are Coming!!!
Monday, September 27th at 4:30 p.m.
Here’s how you can help:
As usual we need your help unloading the truck (free hot-dogs and
sodas after we finish).
Sign-up sheet for Pumpkin Sales will be in the Fellowship Hall.
Story time helpers are needed.
This is a major fund-raiser for the church so please come out and
show your support. Many people in St. Augustine know our church
because of our pumpkin sales. Please help if you can. Contact the
church office for general information #829-3459.
